Update user profile
Along the way, you will need to update your user profile. You can do it in a few ways. Choose the best solution for you!
- Go to your User Profile
- Click a hamburger button on the on the left of the top bar section (the one with three horizontal lines)
- You will see two options:“update” and “delete”. Choose the first one
- Fill out the update contact form
- Click save
When you have an open conversation with a particular person and you go to the right, you will see some basic information about him/her. If you go over there, you will see a small button with three horizontal lines. After clicking it, you will be able to update the profile.
When you create an action path, you can also add a module that refers to an automated update of a field if the target group has perfomed a sort of activity.
Check the example below:
It means that every person who visits the pricing page will be checked whether his/her telephone number is in the database. If there isn’t, a form will pop out. After a few seconds, the app will check whether a person has submitted the form. If yes, the field “telephone number” will be automatically updated.
As you remember from adding a new user, the same rules apply. All you need to do is to update the fields of a particular user in the script and it will be directly sent to UserEngage.
Keep in mind, to successfuly update a user, you'll be required to provide his email address - otherwise new user will be created. Email address is used to identify a user.
Zapier is a service that allows you to automate tasks between various web apps you might use and turns out to be very helpful while updating the data about your user. Go to your dashboard and send the information you want.
